I am Pleased to announce that this is my 50th post! That is a lot of posts over the course of around a month. I’m also breaking my one post a day rule, because I’m  excited about this! My first post, Hi, was uploaded on March 6. I actually haven’t been blogging for very long, but I have already learnt so much from all of you guys! My little blog has already grown more than I thought it would, I hit 100 followers just under two weeks ago, and now we’re almost at 200. Thank you so much for all the support! I do my best to read as much of all of your posts as I can, I love seeing what what you guys get up to! Basically, I love being a part of this community and I plan to continue blogging for the forseeable future.

In celebration of the big ’50’, I thought I would do 50 facts about me, which as I’m writing this seems a tad insane. But I’m committing to it. If you get to the end, congratulations XD

  1. I am very short. I’m around 155 cm, last I checked.
  2. I’m half Kiwi, and half Filipina.
  3. I’ve had a random blue spot on the corner of my forehead for as long as I can remember, and I have no idea why. My best guess is it’s a birthmark.
  4. I have an older sister, and a younger brother. Both are much taller than me.
  5. I’ve lived in Wellington for effectively my whole life.
  6. I lived in the Philippines for a couple of years when I was younger, but unfortunately I don’t remember much from my time there.
  7. I do remember that on my 5th birthday, I got three cakes. One from my family, one from our neighbour, then a big one from the camp we were staying at.
  8. I got my ears pierced when I was 3.
  9. I love taking pictures, and will take them constantly (this has become even more extreme since I started blogging).
  10. I played the piano and flute in high school, but haven’t really touched either in a couple of years.
  11. My left eye is weaker than my right. My prescription for glasses/contacts is twice as strong for my left eye. My right eye can see pretty well.
  12. I am an impulse shopper, but I’m working on it.
  13. I bought a ukulele 3 years ago but barely touch it (see above).
  14. I love Pringles.
  15. I prefer coffee over tea.
  16. I love mango, and it is quite possibly the best fruit in the world.
  17. If you ask me what toppings I would like on my pizza, I will immediately choose pineapple.
  18. I am a bit accident-prone.
  19. I once sprained my ankle skipping around in my backyard. There was a dip I did not see.
  20. I once almost broke my arm on a see saw. I was standing on one side jumping up and down and fell off, smacking my arm on the way down.
  21. I once cut my eyebrow by bending over and smacking my head on the piano I was rehearsing on.
  22. I once banged my head into the ground by throwing myself full speed (head first) down the slide.
  23. I will occasionally walk into walls/poles/people as I’m not paying too much attention to where I’m going.
  24. On my second date with Rory, I spilled almost my whole smoothie on my top.
  25. My favourite subject at school was Music.
  26. In my last year of High School, I came first in my year for Music and History
  27. I was awarded 100% attendance a couple of times at school.
  28. I was fairly quiet at school. Most school reports all said that I was diligent, hardworking, but could probably speak up more.
  29. One of my teachers thought I couldn’t speak English for the first week (I was that quiet), until she realized my sister was in her other class and she could speak English very well. Eventually, she heard me talking to friends.
  30. During my first ever job interview, the retail manager offered his hand to shake and I just stared at it for an uncomfortable length of time before shaking it.
  31. I have been on countless interviews in my life, and sent out even more applications. Getting a job is hard and I will always hate job-hunting.
  32. I got my learners drivers license when I was 16 and did nothing with it till I was 20.
  33. The main reason I donated blood was to find out my type. (A positive).
  34. If I could choose a superpower, I would choose telepathy.
  35. I have more than once poked myself in the eye, when pushing my glasses up my nose.
  36. I hate wearing glasses when I cook, cause steam will fog them up and then I’m blind for 15 seconds.
  37. I have to wear ear plugs when I go swimming.
  38. Since getting married, I can never remember to sign with my new last name.
  39. I never have any idea what to do with my hair, so I just throw it in a ponytail or leave it down.
  40. Rory and I own a TV, but do not use it, other than for the playstation.
  41. My favourite game is still Sims. I’ve played through all the generations.
  42. I am very easily suckered into apps. I still play Candy Crush sometimes.
  43. I love cardigans of every kind. I own 12. (6 are button ups)
  44. I often wear wedges as I like to be taller, but not so tall that I can’t be comfortable.
  45. I hate moths.
  46. I still enjoy colouring books.
  47. I love doing jigsaw puzzles. Especially the 1000 piece ones.
  48. I also quite enjoy doing cross-stitch.
  49. I don’t use swear words, I swap them out for words like “Snickerdoodle”, “Frick Frack” or “Dangit”.
  50. I talk to myself a lot, and this has led to some awkward conversations.

Did you make it to the end? Or did you just skim read? Either way, thank you for taking the time to read! This was a surprising amount of fun, and didn’t take too long. I’m good at rambling and I just wrote down what came to mind. Again, thank you everyone for making my blogging experience so much fun! It’s always a highlight of my day, coming online and seeing what’s going on 🙂

  1. Congratulations! We too are fairly new to the blogging game but it has become somewhat of an obsession! I see many similarities in your list , jigsaws, pineapple and candy rush to name but a few. I love the word snickerdoodle – priceless! 🤣🤣😃🐻

  2. Congratulations on 50 posts!! That’s absolutely fantastic:) Also, you did a fantastic job writing out fifty unique facts about you; I did read all of them! It was really interesting.

  3. That was a fun list, my girl. I love doing jigsaw puzzles and am probably more accident prone than you but well I should not be that competitive. I once banged the boot of the car right on my nose while shutting it. And I too got my license for driving pretty early (at which point I used to drive into the neighbour’s carefully pruned, precious hedges) but have not driven since so I think have to re-learn driving!

      1. As long as you are not driving into hedges or more substantial things, you are golden. I love the idea of driving though. In my dreams, I am often driving – only I realise that I am running on my own two feet and turning the wheel at the same time.

    1. XD thank youso much! I just really got into blogging. I thought of something to write everyday, and would sometimes schedule multiple posts (especially my travel series). I just get so excited and am constantly writing up new blogs. I have so many drafts right now XD

  4. Yes I made it to the end. We have so much in common. I started my blog about the same time as you. You are excelling. Hair, coloring, clumsy, glasses to name a few. I’m 5’6″ and talk a lot. I have TV’s everywhere and couldn’t live without them. My sons school would do an unplugged week. Almost lost my mind. Congrats on your success here. Nice to virtually meet you.

    1. Well hi! Nice to virtually meet you too. Thanks for your nice words!! 😀
I’m still surprised at how well my blog is doing. I love writing new blogs, and reading everyone else’s too XD
An unplugged week sounds way to hard for me as well. I can survive without a TV, but don’t take my phone or laptop from me! 🙂
