Have You Met Dippy Dotty Girl?

Hi guys! So I have decided to start a new series. The title is inspired by Barney from How I Met Your Mother.

The idea has been in my head in a while, to talk about the online friends I have made and can’t wait to talk to. This has been kickstarted by Cheila’s Perfect Party series as well.

So basically, I want to introduce you guys to some awesome people, my favourite blogging friends! I made a list of everyone I wanted to talk about and I came up with 40. So this will be a loooong series. I’m thinking of doing it as a bonus post for the weekends. So now, you’ll hear from me at least two times a day for every day of the week, forever 😀

To kick things off, Haaaaaaaaave you met Dippy Dotty Girl?

Her real name is Arundhati, but to us in the blogging world, she is known as the wonderful Dippy Dotty girl (Or Cathy, according to Cheila).

She was born and raised born in Salalah, Oman, but moved to India, and then England. I believe she has a brother. She is 36, according to her about me page (which I just read today, shame on me). She has always been a writer, but some years back, she and her husband/partner in crime Adi, moved to Northampton. But very very recently, they have made the move to the Big Apple. New York! Sidenote, could someone tell me why it’s called the Big Apple?

Behind the Scenes of LifeofAngela

Hi!! So, I’ve officially been blogging for three months. I’m a quarter of the way to my first official blogiversary. Woohoo! I also want to thank everyone who has joined me in this crazy blogging journey! I really appreciate the support, it’s motivated and encouraged me more than you know 🙂

To celebrate, I thought I would do a little behind the scenes post. I’ve been asked (both joking and serious, maybe) about how I’m able to consistently blog every day. Multiple times a day even. I haven’t missed a day, and I’m really proud of that. So, here’s a little post on how I do it. Just as a disclaimer, this is what I do, it may not work for you guys. We’re all different and we know what we’re capable of. What works for someone, may not work for you. That being said, here’s what I do!

Plan and Schedule

From the beginning (not my very first post though), I planned my posts. I wanted to share my travels. My most recent one had been Sydney, so I planned those out and scheduled them over a week. It gave me content for everyday, and by scheduling them at the same time everyday, it meant that a post from me could be expected at a certain time each day (I like routines, I’ve said that right?). I still do this now. During the weekend, I plan the posts for the upcoming week. I don’t always write them all, but I at least plan them and write the majority of them. During the week I sometimes shuffle things around depending on my mood and what I want to post earlier. On the very rare occasion, if I’m really not happy with a post, I will trash it, and put in a different one instead. I may be a bit of a perfectionist with my blog at times. Then the next weekend, the routine starts again.

I currently use a random calendar off Powerpoint for my planning. I would use nice stationary, but I like erasing and changing things a lot, and I would hate to get a nice planner messy.

Here’s my final planner from the last few months.

May Plan
