Walking up Mount Vic

Walking up Mount Vic

Hello! This week’s TBT, is actually just from this weekend! However, I have done this walk many times over the past few years. Most often with Rory, and in fact, he proposed to me during a picnic we were having up on Mt Vic, so it’s very special to me!

Last Sunday was sunny all day which is a miracle. So I finally decided to do the walk again (I haven’t done it since last December), and this time to take lots of photos as I did.

I put in my music and good walking shoes, and I headed out. We already live on a hill as you can see, but the street leading up to the Mount Victoria walkway is super steep.

I decided to stop for a selfie at the sign which shows you’ve literally just started the walk. I couldn’t see if it was good as it was super bright, but looking back at them all, this was the best one I took.

So, this is one minute in. The slope starts off nice and easy, and you already get a lovely view of the city.

Focus

Focus

The theme of this week’s Photos Challenge is Out of Focus.

I’ve only chosen one photo to show this week, and it’s one of my favourites from up in Auckland.

I was trying to take a photo of the miserable weather outside the car. Instead, my phone focused on the window, and the rain drops that were sticking with it.

The city outside was grey and blurry, and the focus was on the rain. It made for a good photo, and I like showing it to people. Now, I’ll show it again for the photo challenge.

Hooray for happy accidents 😀
