Hey all! Time for another new tag 😀

  • Thank the person who nominated you and include a link to their blog in your post
  • Display the “love the skin you’re in” image.
  • Be truthful when answering the questions and don’t judge what other people have answered in their posts.
  • If you want to add any questions to this tag related to body positivity feel free to.
  • Try to nominate as many people as you can, if not everyone.

Liliana created this amazing tag that’s all about self love and body positivity! She tagged me to take part, and I totally forgot until I saw Ella‘s post about it a few days ago! So sorry it took me a while Lil, but let’s get into this tag!!

One feature you love about yourself

I think I’ve mentioned this before, but for a physical feature, I would say my hands. They’re obviously super useful. But also, they just seem delicate and pretty, kind of a weird statement to make about hands, but that’s how I feel about mine 😀

One feature you wish/wished you could change that you are trying to accept or have accepted?

My teeth. They’re fairly even, but some are crowded. However they’re still symmetrical funnily enough, just two are slightly more forward than everything else. For the longest time, I was self conscious of it. But as time went on, I grew to accept it. Now, it’s just my smile, crazy teeth and all.

Have you ever thought of getting surgery to change you imperfections?

I’ve considered laser eye surgery, but the more I learn about it, the less eager I am. But I would love to correct my vision. That’s about the only surgery I would consider doing.

One of your main role models for body positivity?

Honestly, I don’t know. I don’t know if I have a role model specifically for body positivity. In general, I look up to Amy Poehler and Emma Watson for general empowerment and positivity 🙂

Has a family member or friend ever put you down about your physical appearance? If so what for?

Not really a family member of friend. I do remember in middle/high school, comments that bugged me, but they were said by randoms around that I didn’t really have a personal relationship with. I remember they were related to acne, as I had really bad skin in middle school. I got the obligatory comments about my glasses. I got called ‘shorty’ a lot, which is more of a fact than a snarky comment.

Something you love about your fashion sense or style?

It’s comfortable? I don’t know, I tend to wear what I want. If it’s comfortable and makes me feel good, then I’ll wear it.

Why is your body a great place to be?

I mean, it could be better. I still mean to look after it better and commit to a healthier lifestyle, or at least work out more. But in general, it’s a great place to be cause I’m happy in it and I’m taking (fairly) good care of it.

Lil also added in a bit at the bottom where she asks to include “photo of yourself when you felt the most confident”. I’ve chosen the photo of me floating in a pool in Taveuni during my honeymoon. Why this one? Well, it was the first time I wore a two piece, and also I just love this photo 😀

As for nominations, I like to open it up to everyone. These questions are great to reflect on and even if you don’t make a post about it, I encourage you to think on these questions 🙂

  1. Congratulations on your award! I love how you worked your favourite feature in WITH a picture that included your wedding ring ;):) Acne was the worst for me when I was a teen and now that I am an adult it only flares up once a month lol 🙂 I’m with you on the “comfortable” fashion sense. Life’s too short to be uncomfortable 🙂

    1. Haha 😂 I always try to include it in somehow 😉
Acne is so rude, like we’re going through enough , why does our skin need to do that 😂 I get occasional bursts too, but nowhere as extreme when I was younger luckily.
Comfortable fashion is the best 😀

  2. I always go back and forth about the thought of getting laser eye surgery, part of me loves my glasses but the other part of me knows what a hassle they are, not to mention expensive if you needed new frames or contacts. And how rude for people to make comments about acne, like pfft, thats such a natural and normal occurrence- heck I bet those people that made comments to you have had pimples before too so they should just shush! lol Such a good love yourself tag!!

    1. I’m the same with my glasses and contacts, I’m attached to them, but they’re also a hassle 😂
Middle schoolers can be mean for no apparent reason, also they’re just blunt. What a weird time 😂 We all have to go through the awkward skin stage, it’s sad that some people feel the need to point it out and be rude. We know it’s there, we’re doing our best to clear it up 🤷
I do love this tag though! It was so fun to answer 😀

  3. I actually quite hate my hands. They are short and stubby and I’ve got too short nail beds. Your hands, on the other hands, are the hands of angels! I also have always been self-conscious about my teeth. I have a large gap that some few people tell me to keep, but I’ve gone to the dentist for braces before, just not money I want to spend right now. Are you a regular two-piece bathing suit wearer now?

    1. You have worker hands then 😄
My hands can’t do them well, nails chip and I drop things, so now I avoid it mostly 😂
I mostly wear a tankini. So long top rather than bikini top. I find it comfier. I’m trying to work up the nerve to wear a bikini top out again. Maybe in summer 🙂
