Small Things That Freak Me Out

You guys know what I mean right? Little things that give you that moment of panic. Nothing huge or serious, but enough to get your heart racing. This will probably be a short post, but I just want to share this with you. It stems from suddenly finding a spider was hanging off a web from the corner of my glasses. It made me unleash my most impressive scream yet.

Anyway, here we go.

  • Finding a bug right in front of your face
  • Finding a bug in general
  • Missing a step going upstairs or downstairs
  • Thinking there’s a step when you’re on flat ground
  • Dropping your phone somewhere precarious
  • Forgetting what day it is
  • Not having your keys/phone/card in the pocket you thought it was in
  • Looking over the side of a tall building
  • Nearly dropping something you’re holding in a store
  • Your phone suddenly ringing when it’s super quiet
  • Someone sneezing really loudly
  • Falling in a dream, which makes you wake up in a violent spasm

That’s all I can think of for now. A random topic but I just had it on my mind after finding a bug in front of my face all of a sudden.

What’s something small that makes you freak out?

Angela.

  1. Not finding the key to my phone in the pocket or realising that my phone is no longer on me. I agree with you on the bug, majorly, because I keep swallowing them while running in the park. Midges. Those stir-crazy things.

    1. Bugs are just so sneaky and scary. You’re just minding your own business, then they’re right in your face ?
Oh yes I’m with you! It’s a lot worse when what you’re almost dropping is guaranteed to break!

  2. I can agree to all of these things! I get freaked out a lot. I hate when I think someone is there and they are not and vice versa. I get majorly worried when I have extreme deja vu and when I go upstairs or into a room, and then can’t remember why.

  3. This post was so relatable!! We have lot of stairs in my home and I always get huge heart attack when I miss a step, especially when going downstairs as it literally feels like you are falling from million miles higher than you actually are.. xx

  4. So much of what you listed are relatable. I hate it whenever I jolt out of a sleep and spasm, it used to happen often back when I was in school. I can’t tell you how many times my phone or money are not where I thought they were.

    1. It’s funny how universal all of these are turning out to be! Makes me feel less alone ?
I hate it when I can’t find something, and I’m just so sure where I ‘thought’ I left it!

  5. Whoa Angela, I think we’re twins, haha!!! If I were to make a list titled ‘Small Things That Freak Me Out,’ as well, it would consist of all the same things (and probably more, as I’m always getting freaked out about tiny things, hah!).

    1. Haha, there’s so many of us who get freaked out by the smallest things ? It was really fun to sit down and write this list and just think about those random little things that give you a fright! 🙂

    1. Haha, I”m glad you can relate!! I mostly always rely on my phone for the time, but if I don’t have it, I’m with you there! It’s frustrating when you don’t know what the time is!
