I’d look at the most popular posts on my blog. I go by likes rather than views, as taking the time to hit like is really nice, and I assume it means you liked the post rather than just skimming it and moving on. So since, this is my 9 month blogiversary, I thought I would look at the top 9 liked posts!
However, since going self hosted, all my old posts reset their likes to zero. So, this is from July on when I moved to my new site. Here we go.
#9 – Hair and Skin Care Collection
This post was published on August 10. I always like knowing what products people use for hair and skin care, and I guess it goes both ways. Since publishing this, I’ve collected more products, so I might need to do an updated version of it soon! This is also the 300th post I wrote, after only 5 months. I’m close to 500 posts now which is even crazier.

#8 – 30 Day Photography Challenge – Days 1-5
This post was published on October 6. In October I did a month long photography challenge as I had just bought my DSLR camera. I had so much fun doing all 30 prompts, and you guys were so supportive in each post where I shared my pictures! I really feel that it helped me develop my photography skills.

#7 – Angela’s Bucket List
This post was originally published on May 17, then again on July 29. I am still really proud of this post, so I wanted to share it again on my self-hosted site. I’m happy that it made it on this list! This is self-explanatory. I share 100 things on my bucket list. It took a long time to create this list, and I would love to be able to cross more things off this list!

#6 – My Essential Blogging Tools
This post was published on October 6. I wrote it in celebration of blogging for seven months! You guys may know that I like milestone posts. Anyway, in this post I shared my favourite apps and programmes I use to help me run my blog. This includes photo editing software, stock photos, plugins, planners and tools! I’m glad that so many people seem to be finding this post useful too, as that was the point!

#5 – A Relaxed Day in the Life
This post was published on November 11. I’m super happy that one of my videos has made it on the list! Even more so, that it was my favourite one I’ve ever made. Basically, I did a short vlog with mostly music, with snippets of what we got up to in a relaxed day. Which was basically nothing, but it was still so much fun!

#4 – My Husband Explains Makeup
This post was published on October 14. This is one of my personal favourite posts, because it was so much fun to make and write! Rory and I were just hanging out one morning, and I decided to test his knowledge on my collection of makeup. I love reading these “My Husband/Boyfriend” posts, and this was my first chance to do something similar, and I’m so glad you guys loved it too!

#3 – Beauty Haul and Mini Review
This post was published on September 5. I’d just bought a bunch of makeup and wanted to do a haul post. I decided to include a mini review as I had time to try each product and figure out my thoughts on them. I didn’t expect this post to get as much attention as it did, but it still occasionally gets likes and comments which is pretty cool. It made me decide to do another version of this post recently – Another Beauty Haul & Mini Review.

#2 – Travel Tag #2
This post was published on July 24. This was my first regular post after moving to my self-hosted site. Funnily enough, before switching, my original Travel Tag was my most popular post. There’s something about this tag. That being said, travel tags are always fun to read, at least for me. They ask lots of questions about travel habits, favourite places to visit, and you see lots of cool pictures. So I can see why it’s still a popular post on my blog!

#1 – DIY Travel Wall
This post was published on October 12. I had no idea this post would be the most popular one I have ever done. By a lot! It still consistently gets views, likes and comments. I was struck by a desire to scrapbook my travels, but not in a book. Rather, I wanted to decorate wall space in our office. So I came up with this idea. To print off maps and photos, collect souvenirs, and stick them on the wall. Since then, I’ve added a scratch map, and I’m still thinking of ways to extend on it! I love that it’s inspired so many other people as well!

It was really interesting to see what the most popular posts are on my site. Some still get likes now, even though I wrote them a while back. Travel, makeup and blogging itself seem to be the most popular topics. I love that I cover such a wide variety, and I’m enjoying writing about anything and everything!
After 9 months I’ve written almost 500 posts, met so many other amazing bloggers, gone self-hosted, and now I’ve got 2000 followers! Crazy! I haven’t even got anything planned for hitting this milestone. This month is pretty busy for me, so I haven’t been able to think of what to do and it snuck up on me! Thank you to everyone who has ever stopped by my blog!! You guys are all incredible ❤
What kind of posts do you enjoy writing about the most?
Angela.
