Shuffle the Music Tag!

The lovely Mel from The Bookish Wanderer tagged me for this just yesterday. The idea is to put your entire music library on shuffle, write the first 15 songs that pop up and talk a little about each one. I love music in general, and this tag just seems like so much fun, so I just had to do it straight away!

Alright, let’s hit shuffle and see what comes up (probably a lot of musicals).

1) Emperor’s New Clothes – Panic at the Disco

I haven’t listened to Panic in aages (since he used to wear a tophat), but a few months back this popped up while I was listening to a bunch of songs on Youtube and I loved it. It’s so much fun to sing along to!

2) Eyes Closed – Halsey

I have quite a few Halsey songs, and this is one of the more ‘ballady’ ones. It’s a bittersweet song, and I really love her voice.

3) Tubthumping – Chumbawumba

I didn’t even know I had this. It’s still so damn catchy though.

4) Seventeen – Alessia Cara

I have her whole album in my library, and this is actually one of my favourites! A neat little song about growing up and looking back.

5) A Part of That – The Last Five Years

One of my favourites from The Last Five Years. It starts off peppy, and ends up sad and unsure.

6) Salute – Little Mix

I don’t even know when I first got this song, but it sure is catchy.

7) Barracuda – Heart

An oldie but a goodie. I first heard it on Charlie’s Angels, and I’ve loved it since.

8) Christmas TV – Slow Club

I heard this on the Chuck soundtrack, and I’ve always liked how laidback this song is. It’s a little bittersweet too.

9) Shape of You – Ed Sheeran

Why would I not have this song?

10) Candy Girl (Sugar Sugar) – Josie and the Pussycats (Riverdale Soundtrack)

Their covers are a bit different from the original, but it’s boppy and I like it.

11) Wait for It – Leslie Odom Jr (Hamilton Soundtrack)

I was sure at least one Hamilton song would pop up.

12) Bad Blood – Taylor Swift

I still occasionally listen to this song, it wasn’t my favourite from her 1989 album though.

13) Rumour Has It – Adele

Ah yes, Adele. Her voice is simply amazing.

14) Poor Unfortunate Souls – The Little Mermaid

I have a fair few Disney songs in my library. This has always been one of my favourites. Gotta love Ursula.

15) Toxic – Britney Spears

Ending it on a song I haven’t listened to in years. But I did listen to the whole song when it came up. It still holds up.

I tag anyone who wants to do this, cause it’s just so much fun!!

    1. Haha, it’s funny how we just add to our music collection and forget all about the old stuff we would listen to! I loved Panic at the Disco back in high school. I still sometimes listen to I write sins not tragedies ?

  1. Oohhhhh yay! You have excellent music taste, I’m already adding some of these to my Youtube list – haha.
By the way, I just cam across your blog and as a newbie to blogging it has definitely become my inspiration. I’m normally a book blogger but I’m trying to open up my blog more to include my many travels in order to reach a greater audience.
Anyway, your posts are a lot of fun to read and I look forward to more from you in the future… Happy blogging! 🙂
