I have happily dove face first in the world of makeup over the past few months, and I’d like to think my skills are improving (?). On top of trying to figure out what contouring is, I’ve been delving into different products and brands. This has led me to finding products I love, and I wanted to share them with you. Some I’ve talked about already, and sometimes my favourite change. But the ones I’m talking about today, keep coming through and haven’t let me down.
Here we go.
5) NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme (London)
This is my most recent buy out of all of these products but I love it so much! The applicator is easy to use and goes on so smoothly. The colour of this one is different to my usual nude shades. It’s a bit more beige/brown, but I really like the colour on me! While looking at these lipsticks in the the store, I loved how many shades there are! I definitely plan to get more.
4) Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
I had heard about this, and decided to buy a mini version to see what the hype was about. For me, the hype was real. My eyelashes didn’t clump together when I applied it, and after one coat, it was already looking good! It definitely gets more intense after just a second coat which is also a plus. I’ve also realized that when using this wand, I leave less marks on my eyelid after applying it. Maybe I’m just getting better at applying mascara, or maybe this mascara is the cause for this. Either way, it’s my current favourite mascara!
3) Tarte Sex Kitten EyeLiner
I love Tarte. I’ve yet to be disappointed by one of their products. I received this in my Tarte Treasure Box, and it’s since become my favourite liner! First off, the packaging is sleek and adorable. Look at the cat on the lid! The liner glides on really smoothly which is great if I want to put it on in a rush. I have yet to use the smudge stick, but I am so happy with this liner and definitely recommend it!
2) Colour Pop You Had Me At Hello Eye Shadow Palette
My first Colour Pop palette, and I am in love! This palette has a mixture of mauve and neutral tones. As always there’s a mix of matte and shimmer colours. I love trying to come up with different looks with this palette. Being someone who normally sticks with nudes, this palette allows for lots of experimentation. Like all colour pop eyeshadows, the colours are very pigmented. I really want to get more of these palettes!
1) Bare Minerals Original Foundation
I have talked about this foundation a few times now. But I am seriously so in love with it! It’s my go-to foundation, and I haven’t used anything else since I first got it. It’s light-weight, sheer, and offers so much coverage. It also comes in so many shades, that you’re bound to find the perfect one for you. I can’t recommend this enough!!
