Hello all! Thank you for all the questions you asked me during my 2500 celebration post! As promised, I stored up questions until reaching 2600, which we now have! You guys are all amazing!
Here are your questions, and my answers!
Kate from Ankhor You asked:
- What is the one place you really want to travel to?
Japan was on my list for the longest time, so I’m beyond excited that’s becoming a reality. The other place I really want to see is Iceland. But it’s so damn expensive (and long) for me to get there! One day..
Cheila from Pink For Days asked:
- Do you have funny student stories?
Funny things happen throughout the day, but I often forget about them. I need to write them down, so I have stories to tell.
- What baby names do you like but probably won’t use?
I’ve always liked the names Sophie and Ellie, but there’s another name I like more. As for boys, Nathan and Jake are names I like, but not one that I’ll probably use. We have both agreed on preferred names for our future kids though hehe.
- What marriage advice do you have?
Live together first. I know some people don’t live together until they’re married, but that doesn’t make sense to me. Find out if you guys can spend everyday together in the same four walls first, before committing to do it for life.
- If you went back to college what would you study?
I’ve always wanted to return to uni and continue my Education studies. It was my favourite subject I’ve ever studied, and I would love to complete a Masters in it!
Margaret from The Word asked:
- If there’s one thing you could change about your blog what would it be?
Honestly, every now and then I wish I’d come up with a cooler name for my blog. The Life of Angela is cool and all, but it’s pretty straightforward. Otherwise, I’m pretty happy with how my blog is going!
- What is your most cherished childhood memory?
Ah so many. Mostly though, our summer holiday trips down to the South Island. We went every two years from when I was a baby till I was 22. It was a huge part of my life growing up and it was always fun to have all the family together.
- Have you ever wanted to change your name, and if so what would you change it to?
I think I’m too used to Angela to consider another name. I’ve always been happy with it. It’s easy to remember and spell, and still not too common.
Amelia from Amelia in Hull asked:
- Who was your first follower?
Ah man, I really don’t remember. That was so long ago, and I think some of my earliest followers are now inactive. I do remember that Courtney was definitely in the first 5 that followed me though, and we’re both still pretty active on here 🙂
- What are your top blogging tips?
The usual favourite tips, like engaging. You really can’t go wrong with constantly engaging with your audience, as well as branching out to find new blogs with similar interests. That, and sticking to a regular schedule. Those two are always my tips, and they work really well for me. I would also say, read your post over at least once before publishing, to make sure it’s really polished, and also break up the words with pictures. It’s easier on the eyes (at least for me haha!)
Shannon from Kittyp0p asked:
- If you could have any animal as a pet (tame or wild), which would you choose?
A turtle. Or a sloth. No reason for either, they just seem cool.
Caz from Invisibly Me asked:
- What was your favourite game as a child?
Sardines was a big favourite, especially when you’ve got a big group. Do you guys know that game? It’s like opposite hide and seek. One person hides, and everyone else tries to find them. Once you find that person, you join them in the hiding spot. Sooner or later, it’s just one person trying to find everyone. It’s also funny cause you have to try fit 7 or 8 people into one hiding spot and stay there till the last person finds you. Hilarity always ensued.
Maria from What is Maria asked:
- What is the most inspiring book you’ve ever read?
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. That was so much fun. Yes Please was another good one.
- What would you consider to be the best and the worst parts of blogging?
The best part is having a creative outlet and getting to be part of a wonderful and supportive community. I’ve always said that and I definitely still believe it. Worst parts are just how it can sometimes take over my life a little. I’m definitely better at making sure that I spend time away from it now, but I used to spend pretty much all my time thinking about my blog and planning posts. I feel like I’ve hit a good balance now.
Chanelle from Chanelle Hayley asked:
- Since we’re in summer and this one’s a scorcher, what is your favourite summer treat?
Those Fruju Sorbet iceblocks. You’ll know them Chanelle, but I’m not sure others will. They’re the best iceblocks!
- And, what is your favourite thing about summer?
The longer days. I love that the sun is out till 9pm. It feels like you have more time in the day to do things, even after a day of work!
Azra from Simple Serenity asked:
- What is your favorite season?
All have their benefits, but spring and summer are definitely more preferred.
- What are your top three favorite things right now (food, drinks, activities, makeup… whatever :))
So many choices. I can’t narrow them down. So I’ll answer them all.
Top 3 Food – Ice cream, pancakes, fries
Top 3 Drinks – Coffee, Soda, Chocolate Milk
Top 3 Activities – Blogging, Baking, Jigsaw Puzzles
Top 3 Makeup – NYX Soft Matte, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer (I just bought it!), Bare Minerals Foundation
Jasmin from Ugh Mango asked:
- What is your favourite kids movie?
The Incredibles.
Nina from Comfy Kittea asked:
- Are there any weird food combinations do you really enjoy?
This is something Rory introduced me to. Ramen noodles on toast. Yes it sounds weird, but it’s actually really delicious and makes the meal more filling.
That was all the questions!! Thank you again for always supporting me, and I can’t believe I’m now at 2600! This community is seriously the best and makes blogging all the more fun! I hope you guys got to learn a bit more about me!
Angela.
