Hello again! The previous week went by pretty fast for me. Work was hectic, we got caught up in day to day life, and we always left home and came home in the dark. Ain’t winter the best?
In my last post, I talked about needing time off from my blog to recharge. You guys were all amazingly sweet and supportive, and I will forever gush about this incredible community. Now that I’ve had some space, I have decided to return to blogging. I was thinking about dropping it for a hot second there, but I’ve put so much into this blog and met so many amazing people that I don’t think I could actually do it. So for now, I’m back to blogging, but just on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Yay for schedules! Maybe one day, I’ll get back to daily blogging, but only when I’m back in that headspace.
Now for some classic rambling. Stick with me, or skim if you’re low on time!
So, this post is about reigniting inspiration. For so long (pretty much for over a year!), I was the one who you could count on to come up with some fun post everyday. I often mass wrote these in fits of ‘hysterical inspiration’ I have decided to call it. Everything was a blog post idea, and I had so much fun doing it! This time last year, I was blogging two-three times daily, which is insane. I was constantly brimming with ideas, and it seems like lately, I was finally tapped. It started becoming a hassle, and I was forcing ideas and posts out. I realized I wasn’t looking forward to writing posts, or even reading posts from my fellow bloggers. Hence the break.
I do think that’s the best way to feel inspired again. For some it may be just a week, but others may needs more weeks or even months until they feel that inspiration to blog again. It’s nice to know that this community is still always here waiting for the return. I know I always get really excited when a blogger I haven’t seen in a while comes back. As for those bloggers who consistently create great content and don’t seem to be slowing down, you guys are amazing! Keep riding that wave of inspiration! If you do crash, don’t be afraid to take a break and recharge.
I don’t really know what else to say at this point. I’ve already started buzzing with ideas and I’ve started filling out my little planner again!
It’s good to be back.
Angela.
Yep blogging should be fun not work. It is up to you whether to have schedules or free style it!

At my end, I don’t see activity of many which used to be before. And more or less, after a while the post is about having space, taking a break etc etc….
But there are few who are obedient kids lol

As the above comment stated, blogging should be about fun! I always stick to the quote “Only blog when you are inspired, or it will make a boring blog”

That is so true! I can normally summon up inspiration for blogging, but I definitely find it harder in the winter months I’ve noticed haha π

I’ve noticed so many bloggers recently saying that they are feeling this way about blogging, myself included. I thought it was maybe the weather over here making us want to enjoy the rare lovely summer that we are having, but it appears to be bloggers worldwide. I wonder why so many of us are feeling less than ecstatic about blogging right now? Glad you’re feeling more positive towards it again though!

I’ve noticed it too. Part of me wonders if its partly fatigue as well. So many of us have been blogging for over a year, so we’re slowly pulling away. I dunno. I definitely blame the weather on my end though. It makes me just want to curl up and do nothing π
That being said, I do get bursts of inspiration again after the break which I’m happy about π€

I feel like blogging is so different to how it used to be. A lot of people seem to be turning to Instagram, Instagram stories and Snapchat and kind of like micro-blogging. I still like having my space and no word or time limit to get my point across π Breaks from blogging time to time are helpful though!

I can kind of see that too. It feels like blogging itself is seen as a side project. I definitely prefer blogging though! π

Yeah, it doesnβt always have to be a source of income and taken seriously, itβs nice to have your own little place to document and share things π

I can relate to everything you said so much! For the first five or six months I was blogging, I was able to put up posts every single day without feeling burnout or out of inspiration. Then, I went through a period when it was hard to come up with ideas for even one blog post. I totally agree that taking a break can sometimes be the best thing to do. So glad to hear youβre back!

Exactly! I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one haha! Its so easy to be inspired when you first start out but it does get harder as time goes on. Sometimes you just need to step away and have a nice break π
