Winter Bucket List (Reviewed)

Back in June, I decided to create myself a little Winter Bucket List. It was very short, but since it’s been a while (woops) since I looked at it, I thought it would be fun to see how I did anyway.

Make some soup

So I didn’t technically make soup, but Rory did. I ate it, and it was good. We recently bought all these cookbooks, and tried the Pumpkin Soup recipe. It was really delicious, and a perfect wintry meal.

Try lots of bath bombs

I tried a fair few early on in Winter. I shared the ones I tried in my Bath Bombs Galore post. I haven’t tried much recently though. I like to have really hot baths, especially in winter, but I’ve had to stop. It’s not great for your skin, and also it’s not good for baby. So I’d either have to have a lukewarm bath or none at all. I can wait till next winter.

Finish at least 2 books

I still haven’t picked up a book since May. The guilt has gone away now (although it comes back when I log onto Goodreads), as I have other activities I like to do. Cross stitching, playing games, watching tv. I just can’t get interested in any book at the moment. I’ll still try though.

Complete a few jigsaw puzzles

I did complete a Wasgij after my big 3000 one. I was going to start another one, but I go caught up in my next activity.

Complete a cross stitch kit

I have done two! I did my little hot air balloon one, and also recently completed a garden one that I’ve just framed. I’ve started work on my bunny one.

Go to the movies

I don’t think we’ve gone to the movies since I made the original post. But there’s nothing we really want to watch.

I don’t think I did too badly. I kept it small as I knew I probably wouldn’t do too much, and I chose most activities based on what I already love. This was fun to make though, maybe I’ll make one for spring!

Angela.

  1. Lovely post! Love love love the hot air balloon. It could be a cute little coaster. 3000 piece puzzle!!!!! you are a pro at it! How long did it take you?
Good call keeping your list small. I make over ambitious lists and find it so hard to live up to them. Your post has inspired me to make a small list of my own for Autumn 😀 Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thank You!! The 3000 piece one took me around 3 months. It was a lot of fun though! I think the key is definitely keeping these lists small, makes then seem much more achievable 😄
Good luck with your own Autumn list!

  2. Great job sweets! Pumpkin soup is one of my favs and that one looks SO yummy! If I am blessed to be pregnant, the baths and hot water (and coffee!) are going to be the most difficult for me :p Everything else I can handle, except that! lol. I hate cool baths unless it is after a hot yoga class during 100 degree days lol. 🙂 Great job on the puzzles and the cross stitch. I use to cross stitch when I was a child, but haven’t attempted in years! I kind of want to now 🙂 ❤

  3. Wasgij puzzles are the best, the stories and images are so fun! Your balloon and bunny cross stitches are cute 🙂 I joined Goodreads last week and I know you mentioned you hadn’t been on in a while but what’s your username so I can add you?

    1. I have lost count of all the Wasgij puzzles I’ve done over the years! I love them so much 😀
I think my username is angwooly. Like my insta. It should come up as Angela Jenkins on the profile though 🙂

    1. Haha, I don’t often do 3000 piece puzzles, it was definitely a fun challenge though! Cross stitching is so much fun! I’ve been doing it since I was young, and it’s such a fun hobby 🙂

And id say you did a good amount of things even if you didn’t read or go to the movies lol. Frankly I hate leaving my house during the winter lol. At homes movies are better..
Also, I may take up building one of my big puzzles this winter lol. Wish me luck

      1. I know right?! It’s so weird but cool at the same time to be experiencing entirely different seasons at the same time. I hope I get some time if not I’ll make time lok

  7. I enjoyed reading this!! I’m planning on making some soups now that autumn is coming up – and I’ll be restocking my bathbomb collection soon too hehe! I’m guilty of not having read as much as I’d like too though, I feel you, logging into Goodreads and seeing how far behind I am on my challenge for this year aha. But ooh cross stitching ❤ what an awesome hobby!! I love what you've created!!!! xo
