I’ve been keeping myself busy with games heaps this week, which means I haven’t been blogging much again. But, it has been nice to step away a bit. Anyway, here’s some highlights of our past week during the lockdown.
Food
As always, I’ve been doing more baking. This week I made Apple Cinnamon Muffins, Lemon Slices, and scones. I am going through so much flour. I also made Dalgona coffee lots more times as well. I’m still very addicted to it.
Cross Stitch
I’m unable to finish my previous cross stitch project as I’m out of thread and can’t get any more until the lockdown is over. So I started one of my new ones. I’ve made pretty good progress in a week.
Hanging Out
We still went out for walks when we could, but the weather wasn’t the best this past week. So we mostly all hung out inside.
Keeping Busy
So Rory dug out his old Nintendo 3DS for me, as I was playing an old Pokemon game on an emulator on my phone. That kept me busy for a bit, then I realised that I could get an older version of the Animal Crossing game on it via the e-Shop. So now, I’ve been doing that non stop and I literally have to be pulled away from it. It’s somewhat taken over my life. In other news, New Zealand may be leaving our lockdown in the next few days. We’re not sure yet, but there’ll be an official announcement sometime today. It’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out.
That’s all for my past week. How was yours?
Angela.
Looks like a chilled out time. I would love to hear that there is some end to our lockdown in the UK. Back to full time work and home schooling tomorrow.

There’s been a bit of easing off with restrictions, but for the most part we’re all still working and schooling from home. But more stores and such are able to open and do deliveries, so that’s the biggest difference. Hopefully things will start getting better soon, and more restrictions will be lifted π

Hi Angela, yeah we’re getting by and accepting our new reality. It hasn’t been easy but it’s been doable and that’s great. Thanks.

Your cross stitch looks brilliant! I gave away the hoop I used to make my last one and find that I’m rubbish at even attempting to do it without it being held in place π Used to love playing Animal Crossing! β¨ Will have to dig out my old games and get into it again as it was so much fun π

Ha, it is so hard to cross stitch without that hoop keeping the material in place! Animal Crossing is so addicting, it’s definitely helping to fill in my spare time π

I think they’re the same, maybe it’s just a slightly different shape? Ha, either way lemon desserts are amazing! I have never heard of egg coffee, but that sounds amazing! Hope you have a great week too, stay safe π

That baking looks delicious, got me craving a scone now! Good progress on your cross stitch, I tried it when I was younger and always found it calming π
What do you make of the government’s decision to come out of level 4 next week?

I can’t stop baking nowadays. I think I’m missing bakeries lol.
I’m pretty optimistic about this move. Our numbers have stayed relatively low which is a good sign. Provided no one goes crazy and breaks all the rules, hopefully the numbers will stay low in Level 3, and we can make the move to Level 2 in a few weeks. It’s tricky with my work since I’m at a daycare, we contacted parents, and only 4 kids will be attending in Level 3. So we have a skeleton crew of teachers there basically, and all these extra rules and precautions in place. Since I have baby Naomi, I wasn’t on the priority to head back into the centre, so I’m still working at home. So for me personally, not really much of a change. I’m happy that takeaway and online shopping are pretty much fully back though from Tuesday π

As the week has gone on I’ve felt more comfortable with the move to level 3. It won’t be much different for me in terms of work but like you say more shops will be able to trade and hopefully that will get things kick started again π I wonder how long we’ll be in level 3 for?

I’ve heard that currently it’ll be in place for 2 weeks before they discuss whether we can move down to level 2. It’ll be interesting to see how it goes for sure

The cross stitch looks amazing! I only tried that once and it was because of a school work, but it was calming to do it. π
I badly want to play Animal Crossing! π₯Ί Itβs not available in the App Store in the PH for now and I donβt have a Nintendo so I guess Iβll have to wait.
I hope you have an amazing week! Stay safe! β¨

It really is quite a calming activity, it sounds really nice too when the thread gets pulled through π
Aw man, hopefully you can play one day. This is the first time I’ve played, and I’m so addicted haha! It’s so cute!
Hope you guys are doing well π

Its nice to have a slow week sometimes. Haha, it does seem like everyone is spending more time baking and cooking during this time! Which isn’t totally a bad thing π
