Hello all! The lovely Cheila at Pink For Days has tagged/nominated me to do the Awesome Blogger Award. Thank you so much!! A little backstory to this, it was created by Miss Maggie over at Dreaming of Guatemala as she has always wanted to create an award to acknowledge all the awesome blogs out there! She also recently celebrated her 17th birthday! Her blog covers everything from her faith, lifestyle, baking, and my personal favourite series, her weekly little accomplishments 🙂

This is lifted from her original blog about the award, which I wanted to share:

This is an award for the absolutely wonderful writers all across the blogging world. They have beautiful blogs, are kind and lovely, and always find a way to add happiness and laughter to the lives of their readers. That is what truly defines an awesome blogger.

The Cramm Award

The Cramm Award

Hello! I just saw a notification which says I’ve reached 1337 likes. That seems like an odd number for WordPress to mention, but oh well. Thank you for continuing to like my posts!!

First things first, this award was created by Liv, over at The Cramm. I was nominated by the lovely Azra, over at Simple Serenity. She primarily blogs about beauty, lifestyle and all things pretty 🙂 She is also a lovely person, so go check her out.

1. Include a little bit about who created this award (with a link) and mention the person the who nominated you
2. Share 3 things that motivate you to blog and share 3 people that motivate you to blog as well
3. Share one thing you hope to do that will improve the world
4. Answer your challenge question
5. Nominate your choice of bloggers and give them a challenge question

What Motivates Me to Blog

  1. Stories. I originally started this blog as a way to store my memories and experiences, mostly about travel. Once I started writing though, I couldn’t stop, and now I write about practically anything. As my little blog grew, I felt more compelled to start writing a little more personally, sharing little tidbits of info about myself.
  2. Challenge. I’ve only been going for a month and a bit, but I love the challenge of posting something new everyday. I love the Weekly Photo Challenge, and coming up with my own interpretation each week. I love the tags and awards I’ve been lucky to take part in.
  3. Happy. Basically, since starting this, it has become my passion project. I love coming onto this site and seeing what’s happening. It makes me happy, so why wouldn’t I keep going? 🙂

This Time Next Year Tag

This Time Next Year Tag

Surprise! It’s me again! A few days ago, I was nominated by the awesome Hannah to do this tag. You can find her over at Sassy Girl’s Journey. Go check her out! She was also the one who nominated me for my first ever tag, the Versatile Blogger Award!

Because of the name of the tag, I thought it would be fitting to use a Doctor Who themed image for the featured photo!

  1. Thank the person who tagged you
  2. Set yourself goals for the next year
  3. Write how you’re going to achieve these goals
  4. Tag at least 5 of your blogger friends to do this tag
  5. Then, in 365 days write a post reflecting on your goals and what you have achieved!

Goals for next year:

  • Save up more money

What with our trip to Sydney, wedding, and then honeymoon, I spent a decent bit last year. I want to save a lot more, I won’t set an exact amount, but I do plan to have a strict(ish) budget so I can work on my savings!

  • Do more crafts in general

This goal may seem a bit odd, but I haven’t really done much DIY/crafts projects in ages. I used to really enjoy them, especially scrapbooking, cross stitches and puzzles. So by next year, hopefully I’ve done more.

  • Driver’s license

This is also on my 2017 Goals and Resolutions, but I want to get my full license. This is totally doable, I just have to keep driving often, and within a year, I should be ready to go for it!

I will stick to just these three, as any more seems too daunting 😄

So here comes the nominations. You may have already done this tag, or maybe you don’t do these on your blog, so I would like to say again, there’s no pressure to take part. You were just on my mind as I wrote this 😄

And finally, I will make a note somewhere, to remember to revisit and update this post on April 14, 2018 😀

Dawn Dagger Challenge (1000 likes!)

Hello all! I’m here with yet another blog award/challenge/tag. Now normally, I do these as a bonus post, but after a month of blogging every day (and sometimes twice a day), I can feel myself starting to burn out. I love blogging, and I still want to do it everyday, but I ‘ll stick to just one a day, as sometimes I get writer’s (or blogger’s) block. Especially now, as I won’t be going on as many travel adventures, as Rory and I are in the process of saving up for our first home. I will still post twice on Thursday probably, cause I like to do the Daily Post’s Weekly Photo Challenge.

Anyway, does anyone know where the name of this challenge came from? Dawn Dagger is such a cool phrase, but I have no idea who came up with it…

Thanks to Est. WANDER for the nomination! Go check her out, she mainly blogs about travel, but also about lifestyle and day to day life.

The Blue Sky Tag

Another tag! This time the lovely Chanelle (a fellow Kiwi!) from Chanelle Hayley nominated me. She is a beauty/lifestyle blogger among other things and I thoroughly recommend you check her out 🙂

I hope you get to learn something new about me with each of these!

Here we go.

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Answer the 11 questions.
  • Tag 11 people.
  • Give them 11 questions to answer.

Here are Chanelle’s questions:

  • Do you have any tattoos? If not, do you want any?

I do not yet, but that’ll change next Saturday! I’m getting my first tattoo, and I’m so excited and nervous!
