Another week has passed us by. I haven’t been taking as many photos or going outside as much, as the weather has been getting a bit gloomier. Also, the sun has been setting earlier so our days are feeling shorter.

Baking

I didn’t bake as much this week. I wanted to try bread, but I couldn’t find any yeast at the store. So I tried some different baked goods I hadn’t made before. Chocolate brownies and russian fudge. Both came out really well!

A New Toy

I ordered a toy kitchen for Naomi and it arrived this week. We have a similar one at daycare and she loves it, so I thought it would be nice if we had one at home. She’s been having lots of fun with it.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Pictured on the left here is where I’ve been spending a lot of my time. Sitting on the couch playing Animal Crossing. It’s been a lot of fun, and I keep on expanding my house.

Tattoo Craving

This was a weird title for this section, but it was all I could think of. I got my last tattoo in December 2017. It’s a small delicate flower on my left wrist. In July of that same year, I got my favourite tattoo, this shoulder mandala. I had actually made a booking to get a new tattoo a few weeks back, but what with the current situation, we had to reschedule. It’s now for the end of this month, and I’m hoping we’ll be able to stick with it but who knows?

That’s all that happened for this week. I haven’t been spending too much time on social media, so I’m really behind on reading everyone’s posts. I’m still doing yoga videos everyday, working from home when I can, reading a little and just riding this out. Hope you guys are all doing well.

    1. Ha, it’s just a common type of fudge here in NZ. I think it’s got vanilla in it, as well as the fact it’s made with condensed milk which gives it quite a creamy texture.

    1. It’s definitely my favorite too, and these came out so good! It wasn’t too hard to make actually, I just followed the recipe off the edmonds site and it came together really well 😊

  1. In the UK we have been blessed with good spring weather and we have all said been able to get out in nice weather is much better than if had been winter. We are moving to summer but of course you are opposite.

  2. I was going to ask the difference between Russian fudge and the regular stuff? Looks lovely though😊 I haven’t had a tattoo in years. I was very close in Thailand last year and I still have that tattoo craving x

    1. Ha, I’ve had this question a few times and it’s really thrown me. I thought it was a common sweet everywhere but it must be just a NZ thing. It’s quite a creamy, vanilla fudge that kind of melts in your mouth. It’s really sweet though.
Haha, good to know that tattoo craving never goes away πŸ‘

  4. that little kitchen is so cute! i once bought one for CL and while the interest in the kitchen itself didn’t last much at home, he enjoyed it more at preschool, but we ended up keeping the wooden fruits and a cake and a pizza that can all be “cut”, it’s cute lol.
anyway, i’ve been playing animal crossing too but on my mobile phone, pocket camp. seems more restrictive than the actual game but i still enjoy it πŸ™‚
one of my wishes for this year was to get a tattoo for my bday, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen 😦 kinda bummed actually.
thanks for sharing your life with us πŸ™‚
