June Goals – Looking Back

Well hey guys, guess what Angela found in her trash folder. I made goals for the month of June but I couldn’t find a good time to post it, so eventually I trashed it.

So let’s pull this out and have a look cause I actually did pretty well.

June Personal Goals

  • Read at least two books

I did do this! I finished After You in the beginning of June. Then went on to read Buffering and The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck

  • Bake more

I baked three out of the four weeks in June, that’s one more than in May.

  • Finish more colouring pages

I got one more done.

  • Save up more for upcoming tattoo

My tattoo (which I’m getting today) is bigger than the previous one, so obviously would cost more. Since this is not a ‘necessary’ cost, I felt I should work more on saving specifically for the tattoo. I did.

  • See more open homes, maybe make another offer?

Yes we did, and we made multiple offers, but they all fell through.

  • Complete another month’s worth of Beginner Workouts on Spotebi

Not even a little. In May I did this no problem, in June I didn’t even try which I feel really bad about.

  • Drink more water in general, eat more fruits/veggies

To be honest, it was the same as in May. So I have a few fruits and veggies during the week, but I could have more. I also only get up to 3 or 4 glasses of water most days which isn’t great either.

June Blog Goals

  • Reach 750 followers

Yep.

  • Milestone post for 600 and 700 followers.

I missed the 600, but I did one for 700 and 800 so I think I can count it.

  • Consistently read other’s blogs

Still doing well on that. I feel like I’ve kept on top of all the blogs I follow most days.

  • Reach 20,000 all time views, and 5000 visitors

Yep.

All time views

  • Beat May monthly views and daily views

Yep.

may monthly views

May daily views

That was all the June goals I had. Maybe I’ll try do one for July. It’ll probably be similar to these current goals but just upping the ante, so to speak 🙂

Angela.

    1. Thanks Lyz! I don’t often set goals for myself during the month but it was nice to look back and see that I did in fact complete most of the goals (I thought they seemed far fetched when I wrote them 😂). I think I will do the same for July 😀

  1. I am still working on reaching 500 followers by the end of the year and getting close to 300. I honestly need to start writing a children’s series and its a series that has been on my mind for about four years. June: I probably read maybe two or three books in June, have no idea. From May 13th to now, have finished 5 books and sometime in there, started my sixth and still working on finishing that one

      1. At the rate my blog is growing now, I probably will only make it between 400 and 500 followers, not 500 followers. Just seems that way

      1. In 2015 I managed 52 books in the year, last year 38 and I’m hoping to beat that this year. My problem is that some of the books I’m reading at the moment have been a bit harder for me to get in to so they take longer. Also the one I’m reading right now has really really long chapters which makes it harder for me to read more in one go.

      2. Woah!! That is an impressive amount of books Hannah! I think you’re read more books the past two years as I have in ten 😂
Sometimes it does take a little longer to get into books. And then once you’re into it, sometimes you get distracted so you have to go back a bit to refresh your memory 🙂

      3. Haha that is so true! I’ve also got a lot of TV on in the evenings at the moment which distracts the reading 😂 I’m hoping to read Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone after I’ve finished this book. I guarantee it won’t take me long to read that 😂

  2. Wow! Congratulations Angela!!! That’s so funny that you initially trashed it but it ended up coming back to be posted. I never really posts blog goals because I think it might come across as bragging but reading yours, I don’t think it does, it’s interesting! And when you reach your goals it’s fun to celebrate with you!!! 😀

    1. Exactly! That’s actually another reason why I was hesitant to share it as I was worried it seemed like bragging or something. But its quite nice to set yourself goals and then see how you do with them a month later 😀

  3. Great post. It’s always satisfying to see how you did with goals you set yourself. I keep meaning to set some but other than my rather vague ones I set at the beginning of the year I haven’t really set any.

    1. Thank you 🙂
I don’t really set much goals other than vague new year resolutions either. So I sat down and wrote these last month then forgot about them. Looking back though it’s nice to see how much I did end up accomplishing 🙂

  4. Wowww look at you accomplishing so many things!!! I wish I was that good at being organised and actually DOING the things I had planned to do! I really need to try and do that in July because it’ll be quite stressful for me!

AND I LOVE ALL THOSE BAKED GOODS AHHHH MY MOUTH IS WATERING 😍

  5. It doesn’t matter that you didn’t get around to posting the goals you wanted to achieve.. you managed to achieve a lot any way so well done!! Some amazing blog milestones there too!! 😊😊

  6. Baking such yummy treats and not doing your workout is a bad combination lol I wish I could just bake as much as you do but then I would eat it and I’m trying to cut back on sugar and lose weight and Rui is only eating healthy food. If we lived with more people it would be fine but, just for the two of us, it would get spoiled. Try eating a veggie or a piece of fruit with every single meal. I was so bad with it and I’m actually pretty good at getting my 5 portions a day. With water, try plant nanny or just set alarms to drink a glass of water every 2 hours. 🙂

    1. Rory and I both eat the baked goods. It’s pretty much split 50/50. But Rory constantly works out and runs and drinks water, so his metabolism copes well with the goodies. Me..ehh 😂
I should be cutting back on sugar, but it gives me bursts of energy at work. I have been eating more fruit at work on my breaks. Mostly oranges, cause I love them. With water, I just keep forgetting! I have a water bottle, but I just blank on it. Maybe I should get that app, but there’s never any space on my phone 😞

      1. Haha I’m the worst. I got the plant app, forgot about it and it died. Now I drink 2 l or more because it’s so freaking hot. In Winter I have to force myself
